| The Board adopts and administers rules and regulations governing the examination, certification, and registration of abstracters. In meeting its statutory obligations, the Board keeps the impression of each certified abstracter's seal; files required surety bonds and abstracters' liability policies; and reviews applications for renewal of certification. All members are appointed by the governor, although one must be an abstracter recommended by the North Dakota Title Association. |
