Wrigley Appointed U.S. Attorney For The District Of North Dakota
BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor John Hoeven today announced that Drew Wrigley, the Governor’s deputy chief of staff, will be the next U.S. Attorney for North Dakota. President Bush nominated Wrigley, an aid and advisor to Hoeven, in August, and the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee confirmed the nomination on Tuesday.
“Drew’s intelligence and good judgment will certainly be assets to him as our new U.S. attorney, but it is his enormous integrity and decency that will be his mark of distinction,” Hoeven said. “I and our entire team here will miss him, but we wish him the very best.”
Wrigley was raised in Fargo, North Dakota and graduated from the University of North Dakota and American University Law School. After graduating, he did a clerkship in Delaware and served as an assistant district attorney in Philadelphia, Penn. In 1999, Wrigley returned to North Dakota and served as executive director and legal counsel for the North Dakota Republican Party, before joining Hoeven’s team as deputy chief of staff.
