Hoeven Announces Media Availability For USDA Deputy Secretary Jim Moseley
BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor John Hoeven announced today that US Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Jim Moseley will be available to the media Friday, March 22 at 9 a.m. in the Governor’s Conference Room following a meeting with farm organization leaders. Moseley and Hoeven will meet with farm leaders in the morning prior to hosting hearings on the grasslands.
Hoeven has asked Deputy Secretary Moseley to come to North Dakota to listen to the concerns of North Dakotans regarding the Forest Service Grasslands Management Plan.
According to Hoeven, the Forest Service needs to address North Dakotans’ concerns before moving forward with the plan.
Governor Hoeven set up public meetings for Moseley with ranchers and other stakeholders on Friday in Lisbon and Watford City to address the proposed plan.
