Hoeven Appoints Citizens To Serve On State Boards
BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor Hoeven has named several citizens to serve on state boards.
Craig Jarolimek of Forest River and Randall Binegar of Bismarck have been appointed to six-year terms on the Water Pollution Control Board. Jarolimek is a farmer. Binegar is a senior environmental coordinator at Tesoro. Willard Tormaschy of Dickinson has been re-appointed to a six-year term on the Board. Tormaschy is co-owner of Pump Systems. The Board considers and makes recommendations regarding any rules and standards that are adopted by the Health Department relating to water quality or pollution, ground water protection, and safe drinking water.
Jeff Bezdicek of Mandan, Duane Bergeson of Bismarck, Teresa Kurtz of Jamestown and Donna Thomas of Belcourt have been re-appointed to three-year terms on the Rehabilitation Council. Bezdicek is an associate designer for Bobcat. Bergeson is the manager of employment services for area program support for Job Service. Kurtz is a job developer at the Anne Carlson Center for Children. Thomas is director of the rehabilitation project at Turtle Mountain Community College. The Council advises the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation in its service to provide direct assistance to place its clients in the work force. This Council is federally mandated to receive federal funding with an 80/20 match of federal funds to state funds.
Dan Hovland of Bismarck and Ronald Olson of Minot have been re-appointed to three-year terms on the Parole Board. Hovland is an attorney with Smith, Bakke, Hoveland and Oppegard. Olson is retired from the US Army. The Board reviews applications from prisoners of the North Dakota State Penitentiary and has the authority to place offenders in the community on parole status. The Board maintains jurisdiction over the offender while he or she is on parole.
