Hoeven Heightens Security On Fourth For A Safer Celebration
BISMARCK, N.D. - As a precaution, and in tandem with states across the nation, Governor John Hoeven today has directed that the North Dakota Highway Patrol and other state agencies go on heightened alert for the Fourth of July. This is a safety measure and not a response to any specific threat.
“We want everyone to have a safe and secure celebration, so we’re taking extra care this year for the Fourth of July,” Hoeven said. “I hope everyone will join us Thursday night on the Capitol mall to celebrate the birth of our great nation.”
