Hoeven To Launch Healthy North Dakota Public-Awareness Campaign
Governor Invites North Dakotans To Take a "Walk for Health"
GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Governor John Hoeven will hold a news conference to launch the public-awareness component of Healthy North Dakota, a statewide initiative focusing on improving the health of every North Dakotan, Monday, July 8, 2002, at 11:30 a.m. at Twamley Hall Mall on the University of North Dakota (UND) campus, Grand Forks, N.D.
Today, Hoeven invited North Dakotans across the state to spend part of their Monday lunch hours on a Governor’s Walk for Health. Following the news conference, Hoeven will join people from Grand Forks and surrounding communities in a lunch-hour walk on the University campus to emphasize the importance of healthy lifestyle choices.
Also providing information and comments at the news conference will be UND President Charles Kupchella and State Health Officer Terry Dwelle, M.D., M.P.H.T.M.
