Hoeven Appoints 12 Citizens To State Boards
BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor John Hoeven recently appointed several citizens to serve on state boards:
Shawn Stettner and Bill Lardy of Bismarck, ReNae BearKing of Belcourt, Janet Brush Schauer of Grand Forks, Paula Burckhard of Minot and Angel Spottedhorse of Parshall have been appointed to three-year terms on the Interagency Coordinating Council. Stettner is a day care provider at Infant Toddler Child Care Center; Lardy is the director of the Senior Health Insurance Counseling Program in the Insurance Department; BearKing is director of the Turtle Mountain Preschool Special Needs and Infant Tracking; Brush Schauer is a clinical associate professor of Family Community Nursing at the University of North Dakota College of Nursing; Burckhard and Spottedhorse represent members on the board with disabled children. Peggy Crane of Mott, Tammy Gallup-Millner and Linda Rorman of Bismarck and Dr. Bernard Hoggarth of Grand Forks have been reappointed to three-year terms on the Council. Crane is a physical therapist; Gallup-Millner is unit director for Children’s Special Health Services in the Department of Human Services; Rorman is administrator of Head Start Collaboration Office within the Division of Children and Family Services in the Department of Human Services; Dr. Hoggarth is a pediatrician with Altru Health Systems. The Council serves a dual role by recommending how federal funds are spent from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act relative to infants, toddler and birth to age 3, and providing preschool advice for the Department of Public Instruction for children ages 3-5 with disabilities.
Marilyn Hudson of Parshall has been reappointed to a three-year term on the State Historical Records Advisory Board. Hudson is the administrator of the Three Affiliated Tribes Museum, Inc. The Board plans the development and improvement of historical records programs in North Dakota, establishes priorities for grant funding, coordinates and evaluates grants made to the National Historical Publications and Records Commission and serves as the state liaison for the programs of this Commission.
Betsy Dalrymple of Casselton has been appointed to a four-year term on the Council on Developmental Disabilities. The Council advocates for policy changes that promote choice, independence, productivity and inclusion for all North Dakotans with developmental disabilities, as well as supporting projects and activities that maximize opportunities in these areas for consumers and families.
