North Dakotans Appointed To State Boards
BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor John Hoeven recently appointed several citizens to serve on state boards:
Rick Krebs of Bismarck has been appointed to a five-year term on the Examining Committee for Physical Therapists. Krebs is a furniture sales representative at Fireside Office Products. The Committee licenses physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.
Wade Enget of Stanley and Theresa Snyder and Amy Vorachek of Bismarck have been appointed to four-year terms on the Advisory Council to the Interstate Compact for the Supervision of Adult Offenders. Enget is a state’s attorney for Mountrail County; Snyder is tribal liaison and program civil rights officer with the Department of Human Services; Vorachek is a victim’s coordinator with the Department of Corrections. The Council monitors the implementation of the new compact and provides guidance to the Department of Corrections staff on important issues relating to the compact.
Dr. Rex Byrd of Larimore has been reappointed to a five-year term on the Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Byrd is a chiropractor at Larimore Chiropractic Clinic. The Board handles examination, licensing, supervising and regulating the state’s chiropractors.
Iris Swedlund of Velva has been appointed to a three-year term on the Libraries Coordinating Council. Swedlund is the librarian at the Velva School and Public Library. The Council assists in the planning, coordinating and evaluating of the services and programs of North Dakota libraries.
Dr. Charles Brickner of Carrington and Robert Geske of Enderlin have been reappointed to six-year terms on the Board of Public School Education and Vocational Education. Brickner is the Superintendent of Carrington Public Schools and Geske farms and is a member of the Enderlin School Board. The Board handles final approval for all school district reorganizations, annexations, dissolution and consortium plans; oversees school board appeals; reviews and establishes the State Board of Vocational Education’s budget and approves the appointment of personnel in the state agency. The Board also reviews the accreditation of all vocation schools and high school independent study classes.
Dr. Raymond Gruby of Bismarck and Dan Mikkelson of Grand Forks have been appointed to four-year terms on the Game and Fish Advisory Board. Gruby is a Orthopedic Surgeon at Mid Dakota Clinic; Mikkelson is managing partner at Mikkelson Consolidated L.L.P and is the president of Fritz Building Company. The Board advises the Game and Fish director regarding any policy pertaining to hunting, fishing, trapping, and other outdoor activities.
