Statement Of Governor John Hoeven On The U.S. Senate Confirmation Of Dan Hovland To The Federal Bench
BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor John Hoeven today issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Senate confirmation of Dan Hovland for the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota:
“We’re pleased that the Senate has confirmed Dan as federal district judge for North Dakota in Bismarck. Dan has been an exceptional lawyer and public servant. His knowledge of the law and his dedication to the community will be great assets to the court. President Bush has made an outstanding choice in Dan. I have known Dan for many years, and I know that the people of North Dakota will be well served by his thoughtfulness, firmness and fairness.”
