Hoeven, Friez To Announce Citizen Corps Council
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven and Division of Emergency Management Director Doug Friez will hold a news conference at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 15, in the Governor’s Conference Room of the State Capitol to announce the formation of the North Dakota Citizen Corps Council.
Joining Gov. Hoeven will be First Lady Mikey L. Hoeven, who will chair the Council, and North Dakota League of Cities Executive Director Connie Sprynczynatyk.
The North Dakota Citizen Corps promotes education, training and volunteer service to make communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues, and disasters of all kinds.
