Hoeven Names Citizens To State Boards
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. Hoeven recently appointed several citizens to serve on state boards:
Dr. Allen Wyman of Bismarck, Richard Bergstad of Granville and Mark Gjovig of Williston have been appointed to six year terms on the Workers Compensation Board of Directors. Wyman is a physician at WorkLife Occupational Medicine; Bergstad is the business manager of IBW Local 714; Gjovig is a partner with Penkota Wireline Services, Inc. Nancy Slotten of Fargo has been reappointed to the Board. Slotten is executive vice president of Border States Paving, Inc. The Board manages the Workers Compensation Bureau.
Jim Hines of Cavalier has been appointed to a three-year term on the Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners. Chuck Motis of Bismarck and Kathleen Pfeifle of Wishek have been reappointed to the Board. Hines is a retired Army Colonel; Motis is an addiction counselor at Heartview; Pfeifle is the business manager at Pfeifle Chevrolet-Buick-Pontiac Inc. The Board is responsible for the proper licensure of addiction counselors who practice in North Dakota.
Brad Williams of Fargo and Mike Brandenburg of Edgeley have been appointed to six-year terms on the Water Pollution Control Board. Williams is vice president of OtterTail Power Company; Brandenburg is a farmer. The Board considers and makes recommendations regarding any rules and standards relating to water quality or pollution, ground water protection, and safe drinking of water as adopted by the Health Department.
Sue Cosgriff of Fargo has been reappointed to a six-year term on the Abstracters’ Board of Examiners. Cosgriff is an abstracter at Cass County Abstracter Co. The Board adopts and administers rules and regulations governing the examination, certification, and registration of abstracters.
