Statement Of Governor John Hoeven On The Death Of Warren Jamison
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today issued the following statement upon news of the death of Warren Jamison:
“Warren was a tireless advocate not only for North Dakota water development, but also for the North Dakota way of life. From his early days with the federal Bureau of Reclamation, to his management of the Garrison Conservancy, he was a passionate advocate for our state.
“Warren’s tenacity and vision enabled passage of the Dakota Water Resources Act in 2000. He knew the political landscape of Washington well, and used his knowledge to serve his state. His optimism and passion will be missed by all who knew him. Warren’s passing is a loss not only to his family, but to North Dakota. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.”
