Hoeven Announces Fire Grant For Osnabrock
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven announced today that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the United States Fire Administration (USFA) have released $18,900 in grant funds to the Osnabrock Fire Department. The grant is to be used for fire operations and firefighter safety programs.
The Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program is designed as a cooperative effort between FEMA and the U.S. Congress to enhance basic fire service delivery across the United States. FEMA and the USFA expect to announce a total of approximately 7,000 grants this year. The total of all awards, when completed, will represent a $750 million investment to enhance fire and EMS services delivery nationwide.
The Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program assists rural, urban and suburban fire departments through the United States. Current information on grant requests by state is posted on the USFA website. Future grant recipients will be listed as the awards are made.
