Statement Of Governor John Hoeven On The Death Of Governor Frank O'Bannon Of Indiana
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today issued the following statement on learning of the death of Indiana Gov. Frank O'Bannon, who passed away this morning:
“Mikey and I extend our deepest condolences to First Lady Judy, the entire O'Bannon family and the people of Indiana on the passing of Gov. O'Bannon. Having served with him on the National Governors Association Human Resources Committee, which he chaired and I vice chair, I regarded him not only as a colleague, but also a friend.
“I will always remember him as a kind and open man, as willing to take counsel as to give it. He was also able to set aside partisanship to get the job done, which is a true sign of leadership. His passing is a loss to his family, his state and all who knew him. We will miss him.”
