Hoeven Names Citizens To State Boards
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. Hoeven recently appointed several citizens to serve on state boards:
Sue Andrews of Mapleton has been appointed to the North Dakota Racing Commission. Andrews will serve out the remaining seven months of Howard Wrigley’s term on the board. The Commission oversees the regulatory functions of live and off-track horse racing.
Theresa Tokach of Mandan and Jim Jenson of Minot have been reappointed to two-year terms on the Agricultural Products Utilization Commission. Tokach is a partner in Tokach Angus Ranch in St. Anthony, and Jenson is a realtor and small business owner. The Commission’s duties include administering a cooperative marketing grant program designed to encourage agriculture producers’ groups to develop innovative marketing strategies. It also directs a farm diversification grant program, which is designed to stimulate and foster diversification and innovation, and encourage value-added processing.
Pamela Geiger of Mandan has been reappointed to a five-year term on the State Electrical Board. Geiger is a tax specialist at Farm Credit Services of Mandan, and also serves as director of the Mor-Gran-Sou Electric Cooperative. The Board is responsible for the licensing of electricians.
Jay Lindquist of Hettinger has been reappointed to a five-year term on the Aeronautics Commission. Lindquist is the owner and operator of Air Dakota Flight Inc. The Commission’s major duties include the development and coordination of all aeronautical activities in the state.
