Hoeven: American Express To Expand Dickinson Operation
Company To Add 43 Employees
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today received word that American Express Corporate Travel will expand its interactive travel center in Dickinson. The company expects to add 43 new employees at the facility to service its Corporate Travel Online product.
Hoeven and Dickinson Mayor Dennis Johnson have stayed in close contact with the principals during the transition period after last summer’s merger of Rosenbluth International and American Express. News of the company’s decision came after Hoeven and Johnson spoke with American Express Executive Vice President Pam Arway several weeks ago, encouraging the company to expand the Dickinson facility. Rosenbluth International, a Philadelphia-based travel management firm, had operations in North Dakota and fifteen countries around the world.
“Mayor Johnson and I made a strong case for North Dakota,” Hoeven said. “Our workers are motivated, smart and incredibly reliable, all traits that a world class company like American Express prizes. This is a win for North Dakota, and it is also a win for American Express.”
“I’m very excited about the decision by American Express to expand its Dickinson operation,” Johnson said. “It’s certainly good news for the city and for Rosenbluth employees making the transition.”
Arway was highly complimentary of the Dickinson operation. “Dickinson has been recognized as a highly-productive, flexible and adaptive operation, and I’m confident expanding our operation will be seamless and managed expertly by the successful team of people who work there.” She said the responsiveness and productivity of the Dickinson employees will play an integral role in the company’s delivery of quality services.
