Hoeven: Affinity Global Solutions Software Selected By FEC
Project Results In Payroll, Royalties For North Dakota

[Revised]

BISMARCK, N.D. - Governor John Hoeven today announced that Affinity Global Solutions (AGS) of Bismarck was selected by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to implement a new Budget Projection and Preparation System.

AGS markets a software product that was jointly developed with the State of North Dakota in 1996. Since then, AGS has implemented the product in nine states and is the leading provider of public sector budget systems in the country. This partnership between the State and AGS has resulted in over $5 million in payroll for high technology jobs in Bismarck. The State has also received approximately $200,000 in royalty payments.

“This is a good example of how our strategy to target technology-based companies for our state is paying dividends in higher paying jobs and new wealth for North Dakota,” Hoeven said.

AGS President David Cuttler said, “This is an example of how the state and the private sector can work together to achieve excellent results. This innovative approach has continued to provide benefits to the North Dakota citizens for years.”

“North Dakota has proven how it can be a leader in high technology for the public sector,” said AGS vice president and Napoleon native Trish Pritchard. “This successful business model can be replicated to allow the state to invest in high technology in a way that benefits the state’s residents for years to come.”

The selection by the FEC represents a major new market opportunity for AGS. In addition, the firm has bids pending in two foreign countries for its software. As the company continues to expand its product in these markets, it will be adding staff to its Bismarck office. Bismarck is now the primary software development and support location for these products.
