Hoeven: American Express To Add 50 Jobs At Dickinson Site
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today said American Express Corporate Travel is expanding its interactive travel center in Dickinson and adding additional jobs. The news comes just two months after American Express announced an expansion that added 43 jobs in December.
“With the 50 new jobs announced today, American Express has added a total of 113 new employees since it acquired Rosenbluth International,” Hoeven said. “That brings the company’s total employment in Dickinson to about 273, a level higher than it was before the acquisition last July.”
Hoeven also thanked Mayor Dennis Johnson for working closely with his office and with American Express officials to promote the facility. He said the mayor’s outstanding leadership and the hard work of his team in Dickinson are making a real difference for the community.
Today’s news came from American Express Executive Vice President Pam Arway. “We’ve been really impressed by the quality of the workforce in Dickinson,” Arway said. “They learn quickly and have a strong work ethic. As business has grown, expanding in Dickinson was a natural for American Express.”
Hoeven and Johnson have stayed in close contact with the principals during the transition period after last summer’s merger of Rosenbluth International and American Express. They spoke with Arway last fall to encourage the company to expand its Dickinson facility. Rosenbluth International, a Philadelphia-based travel management firm, had operations in North Dakota and fifteen countries around the world.
