Hoeven Announces FEMA Team Visit To Flooded Northeast
BISMARCK, N.D. - At the request of Gov. John Hoeven, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has agreed to send a team to inspect flood damage in northeastern North Dakota. FEMA Region 8 Director Dave Maurstad told Hoeven that the agency would provide staff to North Dakota officials to develop a flood recovery strategy specific to the events of March 27 and 28.
“The FEMA team will work closely with state and local officials to accurately evaluate damages from the storm in order to determine if there are any federal programs that can assist with the cost of recovery,” Hoeven said.
