Statement Of Gov. John Hoeven On The Finding Of Dru Sjodin
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today issued the following statement in response to the finding of Dru Sjodin:
“As parents, as North Dakotans, Mikey and I join with our state and nation in mourning for Dru Sjodin. Our sympathy and prayers, and those of the entire state, go out to Linda Walker and Allan Sjodin, Dru’s parents, and her whole family. Dru’s tragic and heartbreaking loss strengthens our resolve to ensure that swift and sure justice is brought to the perpetrator. We will also continue to build the strongest measures of deterrence and prevention into our criminal justice system.
“We want to thank all of the law enforcement professionals, volunteers and others who helped to search for Dru over the past months. They show once again that North Dakota is closely knit community of caring people.”
