Statement Of Gov. John Hoeven On The Death Of Spc. Philip Brown
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today issued the following statement in response to the death of Spc. Philip Brown, who died on Saturday in the service of his country as a result of wounds incurred in Iraq. Pvt. Brown was a member of the 141st Engineer Combat Battalion:
“Mikey and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Spc. Philip Brown, who died in the service of his country yesterday in Iraq. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. May they find peace and understanding in the difficult days and weeks to come, knowing that all North Dakotans grieve with them.”
