Hoeven Announces Assistance To Firefighters Grant For Napoleon
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven announced today that Napoleon will receive a grant from the Department of Homeland Security's Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP) and the United States Fire Administration (USFA). Through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program, the Napoleon Rural Fire Protection District will receive $127,800 to purchase a firefighting vehicle.
The AFG program awards one-year grants directly to rural, urban and suburban fire departments throughout the country to improve the effectiveness of firefighting operations, and establish or expand firefighter health and safety and fire prevention programs.
