Governor Hoeven Declares Day Of Remembrance For President Ronald Wilson Reagan
Hoeven to Attend Memorial Service in Washington D.C.

BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today declared Friday, June 11, 2004, a “Day of Remembrance for President Ronald Wilson Reagan” and called on all North Dakotans to observe a moment of silence tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. CST to remember and honor our nation’s fortieth president. The observance coincides with President Reagan’s memorial service at National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., which Hoeven will attend.

“President Reagan made us believe in ourselves and the enormous potential of our nation, instilling in us a faith and optimism that together we could do great things,” Hoeven said. “It is appropriate to pay tribute to a courageous and visionary leader who made the world safer and freer and restored confidence and productivity to a nation darkened by economic and international concerns. I encourage all North Dakotans to reflect on the life of this great president and the enduring contributions he made to America and the world.”
