Hoeven Announces Assistance To Firefighters Grant For Ray
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven announced today that the community of Ray will receive a grant from the Department of Homeland Security's Office for Domestic Preparedness (ODP) and the United States Fire Administration (USFA) for operations and firefighter safety programs.
Through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program, the Ray Fire Protection District will receive nearly $9,000 for training, equipment, wellness and fitness, and modifications to fire stations and facilities.
The AFG program awards one-year grants directly to rural, urban and suburban fire departments throughout the country to ensure that America's firefighters have the resources they need to protect their communities and themselves.
