Hoeven: Rimrock Stages Trailways To Continue With Greyhound Schedule

BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today announced that Bus service will continue uninterrupted in every North Dakota town along I-94 currently served by Greyhound. Rimrock Stages, Inc., of Billings, will begin servicing I-94 through North Dakota beginning August 18, the date Greyhound ceases operations between Fargo and Billings.

"It's critical to North Dakota's economic well-being that we maintain I-94 bus service and connections with Minneapolis and Billings," Hoeven said. "Our state Department of Transportation and Rimrock Stages worked very hard to make it happen."

From Minneapolis, Greyhound will arrive in Fargo at 10:20 p.m. Rimrock will depart west from Fargo at 11:00 p.m., providing service in North Dakota to Valley City, Jamestown, Steele, Sterling, Bismarck, Richardton, Dickinson, Medora, and Beach, and ultimately to Billings, Mont.

Eastbound, Rimrock will arrive in Fargo at 2:05 p.m. and Greyhound will depart for Minneapolis at 3:30 p.m. Bus service north and south of Fargo on I-29 is currently provided by Jefferson Lines of Minneapolis.

"It's been great working with Rimrock, and I'm confident that they'll provide bus service equal to or better than the current service," said North Dakota Transportation Director Dave Sprynczynatyk.

"Many North Dakotans have come to depend on bus service for affordable and convenient transportation," Hoeven said. "The new schedule released today is a big step toward making sure it will be there for them when they need it."

People with specific schedule questions can phone Rimrock Stages toll-free at 1-800-255-7655 or go to their web site, rimrocktrailways.com.
