Hoeven Provides National Guard Resources To Assist With Search For Missing Hettinger Couple
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven Monday, in response to a request from Adams County Sheriff Eugene Molbert, has directed the North Dakota National Guard to further assist law enforcement in their continuing effort to find a missing Hettinger couple, Yvonne and Norman Olson. Hoeven directed the Guard to provide personnel, resources and equipment as needed by local authorities.
A National Guard helicopter assisted the law enforcement search team last week. North Dakota Highway Patrol officers and members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation have also been involved in the search.
The husband and wife have not been heard from since August. One set of remains, identified as those of Yvonne, has been recovered, but the search continues for her husband.
