Hoeven Announces Don Larson To Join Senior Staff
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today announced an addition and several changes in his senior staff.
Don Larson, a native of Minot, N.D., will join Hoeven’s senior staff in the position of media and legislative relation advisor as of December 15. Larson has a Bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in mass communications from North Dakota State University, where he was active in student government. He served as a legislative liaison for the North Dakota Republican Party during the last Legislative session, and has served on a number of statewide campaigns in North Dakota, Tennessee and New Jersey. He also worked as communications director on the Hoeven 2004 campaign for governor.
“Don will bring energy and a strong background to our team, including a good understanding of the legislative process,” Hoeven said.
Kathy Ibach, who has served as the Governor’s Communications Director and Policy Advisor throughout his first term, will leave the administration at the end of the year.
“I want to thank Kathy for all her outstanding work and the tremendous contribution she has made to our administration,” Hoeven said. “Her intelligence, insight and leadership were great assets to our entire team.”
In other staff changes, Ron Rauschenberger, currently economic development and public policy advisor to Hoeven, will assume the position of deputy chief of staff. Current media relations and policy development advisor Don Canton will assume the position of communications director and policy advisor.
