Hoeven: President George W. Bush To Speak In Fargo
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today announced that President George W. Bush will speak in Fargo on Thursday, February 3 at a location yet to be determined. The President’s advance team will work this weekend with Hoeven’s staff in Fargo to locate a suitable venue for the event.
President Bush said this week he will travel to several states after his State of the Union Address Wednesday night to promote his budget priorities and discuss his plan to reform Social Security. The Governor will attend the President’s speech in Washington, D.C. Wednesday night, and accompany the President on Air Force One to North Dakota Thursday morning. Hoeven has been encouraging the President to visit for some time, and extended the invitation again at a White House meeting while the Governor was in Washington, D.C. last week for the presidential inauguration.
“This is another great opportunity for the people of North Dakota to hear directly from the President himself,” Hoeven said. “We are making every effort to ensure that as many people as possible get to see and hear him in person.”
Tickets will be made available early next week at locations yet to be announced.
