First Lady Co-Hosting 2005 Women's Health Summit In Fargo
BISMARCK, N.D. - First Lady Mikey L. Hoeven and North Dakotans Partnering for Women’s Health are hosting the 2005 Women’s Health Summit in Fargo on April 25 at the Ramada Plaza Suites and Conference Center.
Local public health coordinators, outreach volunteers and healthcare providers from across the state will gather to promote women’s health and strengthen efforts to prevent disease among North Dakota women.
“This Summit is an opportunity to arm the women in our state with the most up-to-date information regarding women’s health issues,” Hoeven said. “Participants will walk away with tangible, educational tools to implement into their lives in the areas of cancer, menopause, nutrition, balance and much more.”
Featured speakers will include Zonya Foco, a nutritionist who will present “The Power of One Good Habit.” Zonya is a wellness expert whose specialty is making us laugh at our lifestyle “faux pas”. Dr. Pamela Peeke, national best-selling author of Fight Fat After Forty and the newly released Body for Life for Women, will present cutting edge new science about how women can achieve their optimal body composition and sustain it for life. Oprah guest and author of one of the top ten “must reads” in life balance books, Mary Loverde, wraps up the conference with “Stop Screaming at the Microwave! How to Connect Your Disconnected Life.”
The First Lady is working with North Dakotans Partnering for Women’s Health to make women’s health issues a priority in North Dakota.
