Integrity Windows To Expand In North Dakota
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today said the North Dakota Department of Commerce has committed approximately $400,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for the purpose of improving infrastructure around the proposed West Fargo site of expansion for Integrity Windows and Doors, a division of Marvin Windows and Doors based in Warroad, Minn. The North Dakota Development Fund and Bank of North Dakota are also working with the company to see how they can help, according to Hoeven.
The company will build a new 200,000-square-foot production facility in West Fargo that may create up to 175 new jobs during the next five years, bringing the company’s number of employees in the state up to nearly 2,000.
“Marvin Windows and Doors is a model for the kind of expansion we’re striving for in our state,” Hoeven said. “I am excited by Integrity’s announcement and proud that North Dakota is where they have chosen to once again expand their operation.”
The new Integrity facility will serve as an expansion of the city’s emerging industrial park located north of 12th Avenue and Ninth Street North. Integrity officials indicate the new facility is intended to support Integrity’s continued growth at the two existing facilities already located in the area.
According to Commissioner Lee Peterson of the Department of Commerce, he and members of his staff along with officials from the city of West Fargo and the Fargo-Cass County Economic Development Corporation have been working with company representatives during the last several months to help make Integrity’s expansion in West Fargo a reality.
“Integrity’s announcement is tremendous news for the department, to the city of West-Fargo, and to the entire Fargo-Moorhead area,” said Peterson. “It is a perfect example of the exciting progress that we make when all of the various partners collaborate and work together.”
While the entire financing package for the Integrity expansion is still evolving, Peterson says the state is likely to be involved at a variety of levels.
“Integrity’s announcement validates our hard work in the area of economic development,” said Hoeven. “It confirms the kind of progress we are making toward creating quality, high-paying jobs for our citizens by building a business friendly environment here in North Dakota where rock-solid companies like Marvin Windows can take root and can flourish.”
Current partners on the project include Marvin Windows and Doors, Integrity Windows and Doors, the City of West Fargo, the Fargo-Cass County Economic Development Corporation, Lake Agassiz Regional Council, and the North Dakota Department of Commerce.
