Hoeven To Tour Flood Damage In Casselton, Wyndmere
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven and officials of the U.S. Agriculture Department's State Farm Service Agency will be in Casselton and Wyndmere on Tuesday, June 14 to tour the area by car and assess the damage that resulted from recent heavy rains and severe storms.
The tour will depart Fargo at 1:30 p.m. from the Farm Service Agency office, 1025 28th St. S. Following the first leg of the tour, the Governor will meet at 2:15 p.m. in Casselton with area producers and local officials at the warehouse at Unity Seed, one mile west of the north end of town on County Rd. 10. Media are invited to attend.
Following the meeting, the Governor will tour Wyndmere and surrounding area by car and meet with local officials at City Hall, Main Street at 4:45 p.m. Media are invited to attend.
Joining the Governor in Wyndmere will be Mayor Nathan Brandt and City Auditor and Acting Emergency Manager Harris Bailey. Also joining the group will be city council members Dale Strege, Tim Bell, Ken Stevens and Mike Stark. Richland County Commissioners Don Holen and Dan Thompson will also attend.
