Statement Of Gov. John Hoeven On Today's Terrorist Attacks In London, England
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven issued the following statement in response to terrorist attacks on the public transportation system in London, England:
“The people of the United States and the people of North Dakota stand united today with the people of England in the wake of the cowardly terrorist attacks this morning on innocent civilians in London. Once again, the terrorists have demonstrated their total lack of humanity, and civilized people everywhere are appalled. To all who were injured and to the families of those who died in this malicious assault, we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
“Today, people everywhere in the civilized world renew their resolve to not only combat the evil of terrorism wherever it rears its head, but to root it out to make a safer, more peaceful world for future generations.
“The Division of Emergency Management will be issuing a news release later this morning encouraging North Dakota citizens, and especially the traveling public, to take extra precautions and be vigilant.”
