Hoeven Announces $100,000 Grant To Move Highway Around Stump Lake
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven announced that the North Dakota Department of Transportation will increase Nelson County's federal aid allotment by $100,000 to move County Road 24 south and east of the portion currently under water in Stump Lake.
"Maintaining rural highway transportation is essential for people living in the area as well as for promoting statewide economic growth," Hoeven said. "We're pleased that highway federal aid funding could be used to help keep a route open around Stump Lake."
