Hoeven Directs Flags Flown At Half-Staff In Honor Of U.S. Supreme Court Justice William H. Rehnquist
BISMARCK , N.D. - In accordance with a proclamation by President George W. Bush, and as a mark of respect for Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist, who died Saturday, Gov. John Hoeven today has directed all state and national flags on public buildings in North Dakota to be flown at half-staff until sunset, Tuesday, September 13, 2005.
“North Dakotans join with all Americans in extending our sympathy to the family of Chief Justice Rehnquist,” Hoeven said. “His death marks the passing of a great jurist and a great American.”
