Hoeven: State Praying For Safe Return Of Hostages
BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. John Hoeven today said North Dakotans are praying for a Jamestown native reportedly being held hostage by insurgents in Iraq. The Governor’s office is in touch with the U.S. State Department and is awaiting confirmation of the kidnapping.
“Mikey and I join with all North Dakotans today in praying for Ron Schulz, his family and all of the hostages now being held in Iraq,” Hoeven said. “We spoke with State Department officials yesterday, who could not confirm the identity of the man in the photograph published in the press, but we continue to stay in contact with them. We need to keep all of the hostages in our prayers.”
