First Lady Co-Hosting 2006 Women's Health Summit In Fargo
BISMARCK, N.D. – First Lady Mikey L. Hoeven and North Dakotans Partnering for Women’s Health are hosting the 2006 Women’s Health Summit May 1 at the Ramada Plaza Suites and Conference Center in Fargo.
Local public health coordinators, outreach volunteers and healthcare providers from across the state will gather to promote women’s health and strengthen efforts to prevent disease among North Dakota women.
“This summit is an opportunity to arm the women in our state with the most up-to-date information regarding women’s health issues,” Hoeven said. “Participants will walk away with tangible, educational tools to implement into their lives in the areas of wellness, skincare, fitness and much more.”
Featured speakers will be Kathy Ibach, who will present “From Bloomers and Briefs to Bikinis and Thongs, What Next? Take an inspirational journey through the different generations to gain awareness of self and others.” Miriam Nelson, Ph.D., national author of the best-selling “Strong Women” book series, will inspire women to get on the path to becoming the healthiest, fittest woman they can be. Jana Stanfield wraps up the conference with “I’m not Lost, I’m Exploring: How to Keep Joy in the Journey.”
The First Lady is working with North Dakotans Partnering for Women’s Health to make women’s health issues a priority in North Dakota.
