First Lady Co-Hosting 2006 Women's Health Summit
BISMARCK, N.D. – First Lady Mikey L. Hoeven and North Dakotans Partnering for Women's Health are hosting the 2006 Women's Health Summit in Bismarck on October 16 at the Best Western Ramkota Hotel.
Local public health coordinators, outreach volunteers and healthcare providers from across the state will gather to promote women's health and strengthen efforts to prevent disease among North Dakota women.
"This summit is an opportunity to arm the women in our state with the most up-to-date information regarding women's health issues," Hoeven said. "Participants will walk away with tangible, educational tools to implement into their lives in the areas of fitness, nutrition, stress management and much more."
Featured speakers include Cathy Breedon, who will present, "Hot Topics in Women's Nutrition." Cathy is a clinical nutrition specialist at MeritCare Medical Center. Miriam Nelson's presentation on "Strong Women Live Well" will show how it is never too late to get on the path to becoming healthy and fit. Miriam is the best-selling author of the "Strong Women" book series. Victoria Moran, a certified life coach, will show us how to "Create a Charmed Life, (out of the one you've got)." Victoria is the author of 10 books and host of "A Charmed Life."
The First Lady is working with North Dakotans Partnering for Women's Health to make women's health
