Hoeven Extends Hours Of Service Waiver For Fuel Delivery Drivers To November 9
Executive Order 16
(542kb pdf)
BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. John Hoeven has issued an executive order extending the waiver of service hours for commercial truck drivers providing gas stations with fuel until 12:03 a.m. CDT on November 9, 2007. The measure extends an earlier executive order due to expire at 12:02 a.m. on October 9, 2007.
Reduced supplies of diesel fuel owing to slowdowns and shutdowns at major petroleum refineries in the region have combined with increased diesel demand due to larger than normal harvests to create a potential shortage in North Dakota and regionally. Hoeven has also urged regional refineries to direct more diesel fuel to North Dakota distributors.
