Hoeven: Congratulations Sec. Schafer
BISMARCK, N.D. - Gov. John Hoeven today issued the following statement in response to former Gov. Ed Schafer’s confirmation this afternoon by the U.S. Senate as the new U.S. Agriculture Secretary:
“Mikey and I join North Dakotans today in congratulating former Governor Ed Schafer on his appointment as the United States Secretary of Agriculture. We are pleased the U.S. Senate has moved expeditiously to confirm his appointment.
“We will continue to work hard to get a strong Farm Bill in place, and look forward to working with Sec. Schafer on behalf of our farmers and ranchers.”
